Commercial-Grade Solid Steel Conical Burrs preserve maximum aroma and grind precisely from Turkish fine to coarse..../ Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome / coffee grinder Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome SpecificationsFor grinding larger quantities of coffee beans for a coffee-drinking crowd, Capresso’s commercial-grade Infinity grinder handles 8-1/2 ounces of beans at a time. Sixteen different settings--four each in the four categories of extra fine, fine, regular, and coarse--let you adjust the grind to the specific blend of coffee and method of brewing. The finest setting is ideal for preparing Turkish coffee, which is a rare feature to find in a grinder. A built-in timer sets the grind for anywhere between 5 and 60 seconds so you can walk away without having to constantly press a button to continue the grinding process. The Infinity has an advanced conical burr design made of steel that is usually only found on commercial grinders. This burr design slows down the gears and reduces the amount of friction and heat to preserve coffee’s flavor and aroma. The coffee container holds up to 4 ounces of grounds and remains sealed during grinding. For safety, the bean container also needs to be locked into place for the Infinity to operate. Also, fo easy cleaning, the bean container and upper burr lift off so you can clean the grinding chamber with the included brush and wipe down the and heavy-duty zinc die-cast housing. Capresso covers this burr grinder under a one-year limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde.../ Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome / coffee grinder Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome Features 16 grind settings, Turkish fine to French press coarse Commercial-grade conical burrs provide maximum coffee flavor and aroma Heavy-duty zinc die-cast housing; easy to clean Bean container holds 8-1/2 ounces; ground container holds 4 ounces Measures 5-3/8 by 7-11/16 by 10-13/16 inches; 1-year limited warranty .../ Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome / coffee grinder

In a side-by-side test w/ Kitchenaid's Proline, THIS prevailed. : Capresso 565.04 Infinity Burr Grinder, Brushed Chrome

I was in a W-S store two weeks ago and saw this grinder, saw a rep demo it, and knew I had to have it to go with a newly acquired super-special-deluxe ultra turbo chraged espresso maker. So, I bought it. Also, the other coffee grinder I had, had, after years of faithful service, died.

With my old grinder, which only featured the ability to load the beans and then grind them until your finger got tired of pushing the button, imagine how delighted I was with this baby. Settings which let you just load it, then grind the beans so fine that it's almost like silk. I was in heaven. In fact, for my espresso, I have to leave the grinder selector turned quite down on the "fine" setting or else it becomes to fine. And the grinder, motors and overall build of this baby are super solid, so I know I will be having it for years, and years to come.

Flash forward to this weekend. Was in another store and came across Kitchenaid's Proline Burr grinder. About $60 dollars more, but I absolutely fell in love with it. Also, the Kitchenaid features glass containers vs. plastic (which the Capresso has). I was in heaven again. SO much so, I bought the Kitchenaid, lugged the beast through the mall and to my car with a dozen or so other packages (no small task), ready to return the Capresso. But then I decided to put them side by side and see which performed better.

Loaded them both up with beans, put them on the various settings and let them go. The Capresso, always produces a finer grind. It actually grinds for Turkish coffee, something the Kitchen can simply not do. Even when you have the Kitchenaid on the FINEST setting allowed, it produces an espresso grind that is coarser than the almost the "lowest" espresso setting of the Capresso if you follow that. The Kitchenaid, I concluded, is simply not for espresso fans. It will be good for those who favor drip or French Press. Or, as I learned when I put the Kitchenaid model on the lowest setting "1", if you like a grinded coffee bean that resembles asphalt or marbles, then its for you.

However, if you like an extremely solid, very well built grinder that will delivery ANY, ANY, ANY type of grind you want, then get this one. It's even a great price too, certainly as compared to other grinders in this area (like Kitchenaids). This is simply an outstanding product.

Now, off to return the Kitchenaid....

As good as it gets (in grind&brew) : Capresso 464.05 CoffeeTeam GS 10-Cup Digital Coffeemaker with Conical Burr Grinder

This is my first recapitulate but I'm taking the time to express how impressed I am with this product and the company. I bought the coffee maker/burr grinder combo because of my annoyance with grist beans that get all over the place. This coffee maker grinder/combo works wonderfully. Put the beans in, set the grind setting, and there you go. The consistency of the grind is awesome! I have it set to grind the finest with a mix of esspresso and columbian beans with no clogging problems at all for over a month now. I was wary because I had heard gripes about how loud the grinder is but I well found it to be quieter than my former stand alone Cappresso grinder which cost $60 alone. I get up at 0400 and it doesn't wake up the rest of the house. The best part was the buyer service. After a consolidate of days, I noticed that the clock appeared to be off. I measured it over some days and it ended up that the digital clock ran fast which messed up the programmed time I wanted coffee in the morning. I was worried that it would be a pain to return since I bought it on the internet and return or heal would be a hassel. When I called the 800 amount for Capresso in the manual and told them my story they sent me out a transfer unit (without even requiring proof or info that I purchased the unit from a third party). The new unit arrived with return Ups label (I didn't need to pay for shipping for the new unit or return) and it works great!

I advise this buy whole heartedly. If your seeing at this machine because you want great fresh coffee with No mess and No worries, this is the machine and the business for you!
